Karolyn & Jake's Intimate Fall Elopement at the Taconic Hotel in Manchester, VT

We’ve had a lot of firsts this year. Our first international wedding took place in July, we photographed our first elopement in August, and last Friday for the first time ever we sat alongside one of our couples, their dog Tucker, and the other wedding guests at a beautifully decorated table and shared a meal. It was a lovely way to bring an end to a day so intimate and personal that was humbling to be a part of. The Taconic Hotel, situated just outside the center of Manchester, VT, is a beautifully private place for a ceremony of this size, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the seasonal leaf peepers. This particular weekend was just about peak foliage time for Vermont, and the Taconic’s brilliant white exterior contrasted the dramatic orange, red, and yellow hues surrounding it. We were so glad to have a chance to see Vermont in this special time and to share it with these two. After making a quick trip to Orvis with Jake for some fly fishing gear and a quick cast, a first look in woods shrouded with golden light, and an intimate ceremony with just close family we left Manchester feeling lucky to experience it all with Karolyn and Jake. We are so happy to share these moments from their day.
