Allison & Paul's Mt. Mansfield Elopement in Stowe, VT

Allison and Paul traveled all the way from Illinois to Vermont to get married in a place that spoke to them. Paul told us in the weeks leading up to their private ceremony that they didn’t rush into making plans and were just waiting for a time and place that felt…right. That place was the top of the tallest mountain in Vermont and a site they’d visited previously, Mt. Mansfield, and the setting was perfect. Hard, driving rain and even hail delayed their wedding by a day, but the weather that met us that following afternoon was absolutely lovely: steady breeze, quick moving clouds, and dramatic hazy views made for a gorgeous backdrop to what was one of the most romantic wedding ceremonies we’ve ever photographed. We were taken aback by just how intimate Allison and Paul’s ceremony felt. There is definitely something special about not having an audience that makes wedding vows feel deep, profound. We felt the connection between these two as clear as the mountain air and it was such an honor to be there to witness it.
