Colleen & James' Brunch Time Wedding at Clay Hill Farm in Cape Neddick, Maine

We’re always extremely excited to work with fellow RIT grads and having a chance to photograph Colleen and James’ wedding in Ogunquit, Maine last weekend was no exception. After a few days of fretting over the possibility of rain courtesy of Hurricane Dorian we were gifted with overcast skies that opened up into sunshine later in the evening. Hosted at Clay Hill Farm in Cape Neddick, Maine just a few minutes drive from the coast, Colleen and James’ mid-day wedding was intimate, beautiful, and unapologetically them. The music for the ceremony and reception consisted of various theme songs from movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and of course Star Wars and their two cats Frieda and Poe, absent from the wedding day celebration, were represented by signature cocktails and referenced in almost every toast given. This wedding had real garden party vibes with folks spilling out of the dining area onto the lawn where games of corn hole were played while appetizers and drinks were passed. A lively dance floor ending with a group Piano Man sing-a-long was one of our favorite parts of the day and had us tearing up behind our cameras. Each and every guest seemed to have a part in their celebration and we felt an overwhelming sense of community and love for Colleen and James. After the dancing was through we had the pleasure of heading to the coast with these two for some more portraits near the beach. Narrowly missed by the hurricane still visible miles off of the coast, we were met with billowing ocean mists carried inland by a thick breeze that, when combined with the evening sun, made for some of the most magical light we’ve seen in quite a while. We had such an incredible day with Colleen and James and we’re so excited to share some of our favorite images.
