Fran & Sean's Summer Wedding at the West Mountain Inn in Arlington, VT

Fran and Sean’s wedding celebration at the beautiful West Mountain Inn in Arlington, VT has been years in the making. Landing at almost exactly two years past their original wedding date, their wedding day was welcomed with near perfect Vermont weather: abundant sunshine, puffy white clouds, a light breeze blowing through the fields of tall grass and wildflowers, and mid 70º temperatures. The inn’s lovely outdoor spaces, complete with two welcoming golden retrievers, a barn full of alpacas, and a spiraled rose garden, welcomed exploration while the tented cocktail hour and gorgeously decorated barn for dinner and dancing focused the energy of the live music. In June of 2020 when they held their elopement ceremony in the Arnold Arboretum in Boston, their friends and family were only present in the form of letters and notes written to them which they read to one another alongside their vows. Last Saturday they walked down the aisle together to re-read those same vows, this time in the presence of their friends and family. As their ceremony ended and Fran and Sean walked down the aisle and guests showered them with dried flower petals, we could feel the mix of accomplishment and relief and from there on out it was a party. The band kept the pace for the rest of the evening, playing a lively mix of classics that pulled everyone from their seats for dancing while a feast of donuts, pies, grilled cheeses, and french fries awaited just outside the barn for mid-dancing refueling. It really did feel like a celebration of togetherness, everyone reveling in the moment that had finally come. Fran and Sean having the chance to let loose and celebrate their marriage was a joy to witness.
