Jenna & Aeryk's Wedding at the Quechee Inn in Quechee, VT

Jenna and Aeryk are folks unafraid to feel big emotions, and they embraced that vulnerability throughout their wedding day. Our story with them started in early 2021 when they initially reached out to work with us, and we had the good fortune of traveling to Brooklyn to meet them in their little part of the world and make some photos in Prospect Park. When we arrived at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms in Vermont on Sunday we were greeted with cheer and hugs and all the sort of welcome one would expect from seeing long lost friends, and with that the tone for the day was set. Jenna and Aeryk are two of the most wholesome, loving, genuinely of the moment people we’ve met and for these reasons photographing their wedding felt almost meditative for us. Their spirit of inclusivity, their connection with each other and their families and their friends is so deep and engrained in their very being. The way that they combined their unique familial traditions into their ceremony, the way that their vows encompassed their intentions to and for each other as well as their individual brilliance, the way they synced up with the many dear friends and family in attendance who had traveled from far and wide all made us love them even more than we did before we showed up. Watching Jenna’s parents dance with Aeryk’s parents on the dance floor spoke to the depth to which these families, now formally joined, had long since identified as one. We cried multiple times on Sunday; at least once each during their vows, again as they themselves shed tears immediately following the proclamation of marriage, again during toasts that had us laughing and crying all at the same time, and a final time during Jenna’s impromptu thank you speech as they cut their wedding cake. It felt like the day was over in the blink of an eye - a sign to us that the day not just went well but felt good. It’s hard to make a bad photo when the vibe is as light and celebratory as it was for Jenna and Aeryk’s wedding, and we spent the vast majority of our ride home glowingly recounting the day and wishing we’d never had to leave.
